If you are
traveling to Yogyakarta, maybe you are bored with Borobudur, Malioboro, and
Parangtritis Beach. If you want to look for other tourist attractionsi suggest for you to visit the Soeharto Museum. The
museum was built in the birthplace of Soeharto which was built in the Kemusuk
Village of Argomulyo, Bantul, Yogyakarta. In this museum explained about HM
Soeharto, starting from his family tree, about his struggle from the colonial
era to becoming the president of the Republic of Indonesia.
In this
museum there are 4 facilities including the first, namely joglo, Joglo is a
typical Javanese building. This building is located in the center of the
museum. In this joglo area, visitors can relax and watch a short film about Mr
Harto's biography before going around the museum.
The second is
the Atmosudiro Building / Diorama Room. The name Atmosudiro is taken from the
name of Pak Harto's grandfather. This building is located west of Joglo. Inside
this building contains dioramas, videos and knowledge about Pak Harto's
biography. This building is equipped with multimedia technology and full of art
so that visitors feel as if they were brought to the past year.
The third is
the Notosudiro Building Notosudiro Building is a traditional Javanese house.
The name Notosudiro was taken from the name of Suharto's great-grandfather.
This building is located behind Joglo and is a stopover for guests and
families.
The fourth is
Petilasan .This petilasan is right on the east side of the Notosudiro building,
also a legacy of Suharto. Because this is where witnesses the birth of Mr HM
Soeharto
